Welcome to the collection of my innermost thoughts, opinions, and stories that I am fortunate to be able to share with you! I launched this site in 2017 with the hopes of reaching out to like-minded people (and non-like minded people!), to make connections to help us all understand each other in such a complicated world. It also serves to aid in my interwebs journey; helping me to practice certain things, help advance my newfound career, and test out new things I get to do for clients.
I would love for this page to start dialect between different groups of people with different views, with the hopes that we can all take a page from someone else’s book, and let it positively affect us. With so much negativity in the world, it’s clear none of us have things figured out.
This site will follow the journey of my self-reflection throughout my life and the ever-changing world around me. Hopefully, you will learn a little about me and my life, and it can help you in a big way!
Let’s Do Dis
Lush is a compilation of my thoughts or experiences in my everyday life. I am an ordinary person with an extraordinary life. I don’t have a glamorous job, but I do play a part in the success of big-name racehorses. The “prequel” if you will. I am not rich, but I lead a full life. I may not HAVE the best of everything, but I MAKE the best of everything. I am a relatively normal human being that is trying to figure all of this thing we call life, out!
A Little Bit More About Me.
I will be sharing personal stories, so it’s only fair you all know who I am. My name is Melissa, and I live in Kentucky. I work with hundreds of racehorses on a considerable farm here right in the heart of horse country. My husband and I have three woofs that are a huge part of my life.
I love to travel and have been doing a ton of it recently. Life is too short to stay in one place. I enjoy the beach and the ocean, and we try to make it there as much a possible. There is nothing quite like standing right on the edge of the most substantial existence of our planet. It’s humbling and gratifying all at the same time.
I have a huge passion for books and wine. I habitually read between 3-4 books a week. I love psychological thrillers and mysteries. Anything that gets the brain going is on my list! As for wine, I have preferences that are ever changing, but I am always open to trying new things.
As always, if you’re interested in my content, show some love in the comments. If you’d like to talk further about anything I post, head on over to Facebook and send me a message!
